1999 Jeep Cherokee SE

It has averaged less then 7200 miles per year. That's pretty low considering most average drivers put 15000 miles per year on a vehicle. And most of these Cherokees for sale usually have well over 100K miles. Within the last couple miles I had the Jeep inspected by a ASE certified repair facility. The mechanic I take my vehicles to has been working on cars for 15 years working for a big new car dealership here in town, he is very good and all my vehicles go to him for the inspection and reconditioning. He has his own ASE certified repair facility and does anything from oil changes to rebuilding engines. He inspected it and told me its a very solid Cherokee. He looked it over and took it for a test drive, it did not need brakes and the engine and transmission did not have any issues. He checked the oil level and condition of the transfer case & transmission and they were all full and clean. The pinion seal to the front differential was leaking, so was the pinion seal to the rear differential. He replaced both seals and also replaced the oil in the front and rear differential. He also replaced the engine oil and filter. Now there no oil leaks anywhere on the Jeep. There are no mechanical issues with the Jeep so I am including a nation wide warranty at no additional cost. I also have the title free and clear of any liens. Mechanically I personally drive all the vehicles I sell for a few days, this gives me a good idea on how they run and drive. I buy a lot of Cherokees because they are very reliable, but very rarely do I find a 2 door, 4x4, 6-cyl 5-speed. This is a pretty rare combination and very fun to drive, feels just like driving a Jeep Wrangler. I put about 100 miles on this Jeep and it drives great. The engine does not make any abnormal noises, it idles very smooth when in park and accelerates without any issues. At highway speeds (65-70 mph) it feels solid on the road. The transmission shifts through all 5 gears very smooth and the clutch feels very strong with no slippage. The 4x4 works just like it should, you can select 2wd or full time 4wd. The steering feels very good when making sharp turns in the parking lot and there are no unusual noises when going over bumps on the road. If you do a internet search on the 4.0L straight 6 engine in these Cherokees you will see some great reviews, they are pretty much bullet proof. I have seen alot of these with over 200.000 miles still in excellent mechanical condition, this one has right around 79,000 so it still have a lot of life left. I wouldn't hesitate to drive this Jeep to Florida and back. Jeep has had the 4.0L inline 6 engine around for nearly 20 years. They put them in all the Jeep Wranglers with the 6 cylinder option as well as the Grand Cherokee. Its a proven drive train system and will last a very long time with regular oil changes. Electrical The AC and heat works great, power mirrors work and so does the radio. Exterior The Jeep was very well cared for by the previous owner and it definitely shows.
