1996 Mazda MX-5 Miata

I have a very clean 1996 Mazda Miata for sale with 23.770 miles. The car has averaged right around 1600 miles per year, that's really low considering most drivers put 10,000 - 15,000 miles per year on a vehicle. This is a 1-owner vehicle and was purchased 05-28-1997 when the car had 36 miles on it. I have the original 1-owner title showing purchase date and mileage at the time it was first registered. I always try to get 1-owner vehicles because of the service history. They normally tend to be very well maintained, parked in the garage when not driven and not abused when driven, this one lives up to that example. I have had several Miatas, but its hard to find one that has not changed ownership 3-4 times, or been modified for racing. So im glad to have this clean non modified example for sale. I drove this car from Louisville KY back to Kokomo IN ( 220 miles ) and what a fun car it is! Since you are looking at this ad, you already know these Miata's are great little sports cars. They handle great, last for a long time and just a blast to drive. Out of the 220 miles I put on the car, 200 was straight highway driving. The car feels very solid at highway speeds (65-70 mph) and in town driving is great as well. The engine does not make any abnormal noises, no ticking or knocking. It starts right up and idles very smooth when in neutral. The car accelerates without any hesitation or jerking and the transmission shifts very smooth through all gears with no issues. The clutch also feels great with no slipping during acceleration. The streering feels great with no abnormal play and so does the suspension. There are no issues with the car at all and I wouldn't hesitate to drive it to Florida and back. Within the last couple days I had the car inspected by a ASE certified repair facility. He inspected it and told me its a very solid car. He put it up on a lift and inspected the engine/transmission and he also took it for a test drive. The engine and transmission did not have any mechanical issues or oil leaks. He told me that the car appears to have been very well cared for mechanically. The oil sticker had 1500 miles left but I had him replaced the oil & filter anyway, all other maintenance was up to date. The car needs no maintenance other than a oil/filter change in 3000 miles. You are welcome to call the mechanic that did the inspection. If you would like to have the car inspected by your own mechanic before you purchase, you are welcome to do that as well. The AC and heat works great, all lights work and so does the stereo. The car was very well cared for by the previous owner and it definitely shows. The over all condition of the paint is excellent with no rust, clear coat or fading issues. It was more than likely garage kept because the paint has a very deep gloss to it. The convertible top looks great as well rips or tears, and the rear window is not faded or cracked. Here is your chance to own a very low mileage, 1st generation Miata that is in great condition.
