1996 Cadillac Fleetwood

The car has averaged right under 5500 miles per year, that's really good considering most drivers put 15,000-18,000 miles per year on a vehicle. Within the last couple days I had the car inspected by a ASE certified repair facility. He inspected it and told me its a very solid car. He put it up on a lift and inspected the engine/transmission and he also took it for a test drive. The engine and transmission did not have any mechanical issues and operate as they should. He told me that the car appears to have been very well cared for mechanically. He replaced the engine oil & filter and there was a tiny oil leak coming from the transmission pan. He removed the pan to replace the gasket, while he had the pan off he replaced the transmission filter and oil. There is no more leak coming from the transmission pan. There are no issues with this car at all and you are welcome to call the mechanic that did the inspection. If you would like to have the car inspected by your own mechanic before you purchase, you are welcome to do that as well. Mechanically I usually have my vehicles for a week or two before I list them on the internet, this gives me enough time to personally drive them for a few days and then get them inspected. I put about 70 miles on the Fleetwood and it drives great. It really has that "Cadillac ride" everyone always refers to. It drives very smooth on the highway with no abnormal steering wheel vibrations or noises, in town driving is great as well. I have had a lot of late model Cadillacs and these older models just have a different distinct ride, they are large vehicles and feel like they float on the highway at 70 mph. If you have never driven one before, I encourage you to take a test drive in one to experiance it for yourself. You will be suprised how smooth they feel on the highway and in town. The engine does not make any abnormal noises, no ticking or knocking. It starts right up every morning and idles very smooth when in neutral. The car accelerates without any hesitation or jerking and the transmission shifts smooth through all gears with no issues. The streering feels great with no abnormal play and so does the suspension. There are no issues with the car at all and I wouldn't hesitate to take it on a 1000 mile round trip. The 5.7L V8 LT-1 engine is a very well knows motor for GM. They have had the same engine around for over 15 years and put them in the Buick Roadmaster, Silverado trucks, Suburbans, Corvettes and several other of their vehicles. I have seen GM vehicles with the LT-1 engine and over 200,000 still in excellent running condition, this one has right around 77,000 miles so it has a lot of life left. Normally when someone buy's a Cadillac, they take very good care of it. These are the type of vehicles that's parked in the garage, and always serviced at the dealer on time. This one lives up to that example. Electrical The car has dual power seats, they work great. The A/C and heat works great, power windows work, power door locks work, all exterior lights work and so does the radio. Exterior The Fleetwood was very well cared for by the previous owner and it definitely shows. The overall paint condition is in excellent shape with no clear coat or rust issues. Looks like it's been a garage kept vehicle because the paint is very deep and glossy.
